Cat-HTR™ is a breakthrough technology, using hot pressurised water (a process known as hydrothermal liquefaction) to convert a wide range of feedstocks, including biomass residues and end of life plastics, into synthetic oil that enables the production of high-value, low carbon products, such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). It’s pioneering Australian technology for a lower carbon future. 

About the role:

Licella is seeking a first year Graduate Engineer to join the team. You will have a Bachelor of Engineering in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (Control Systems). You will be a self-motivated person, keen to continue your technical learning and have a strong interest in the circular economy. 

As a Graduate Engineer, the successful candidate will be mentored by our highly talented qualified professional engineers. A development program will be established to suit the needs of the individual to ensure career progression. 

This is a hands-on role which will involve you participating in the day-to-day activities on site. You will gain exposure to many and varied engineering assignments and have the opportunity to train in operating the Cat-HTR. In addition, you will analyse the Cat-HTR pilot runs and work with the team to refine the technology. 

The role holder will have exposure to the rollout of commercial projects both in Australian and overseas.

About you:

You will have a Bachelor of Engineering and demonstrate the following attributes:

• Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Computer literate (Outlook e-mail, MS Word, MS Excel)

• Self-starter with strong work ethic and able to work autonomously 
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently
