We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and motivated Product Support Engineer to work in our operations department.
The key deliverables of this role are:
- Represent APAC in Global Engineering Change forums and manage the overall release to production process.
- Monitoring and identifying of hardware changes initiated globally or locally that will impact the APAC region.
- Initiating request of prototype or sample parts for production validation and jurisdictional submissions.
- Lead the local Engineering Change Order (ECO) meeting to support and communicate the incoming changes and ensure that all stakeholders - Product Management, Platform Software Team, Bill of Materials/Variant Configuration team, Planning, Purchasing, Compliance and Production - inputs are captured in the forum or ECO platform prior to ECO release.
- Release of ECO for teams to act upon.
- Validation of sample parts in production and work closely with Manufacturing/Quality Engineering and Production to raise issue and help gather support to address the issue.
- Preparation and submission of required regulatory (i.e. gaming, electrical safety) documentation in coordination with the internal stakeholders, Compliance department and accredited testing facilities.
- Support the Accredited Testing Facility (ATF) to achieve recommendations/certifications.
- Maintains MRP system (SAP) records and internal engineering documents/records pertaining to recommendations/certifications status.
- Initiates continuous improvement project that aims to improve this role’s process efficiency and productivity.
- Performs SAP housekeeping tasks related to this role.
- Other duties as required.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role or other related roles such as manufacturing engineering, process engineering, leading Change Management, Product testing and validation and new product introduction.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work well with internal departments.
- Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good self-management and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge in manufacturing or production processes.
- Knowledge in any MRP systems.
- Good MS Excel skills
The following skills and experiences are desirable:
- Knowledge in Gaming regulation or Electrical Safety Standards
- Knowledge in Product Life Cycle Management
- Computer programming/scripting/process automation
- Excel-VB application
- Project Management using JIRA or MS Project
