Fixed Term (Two Years)

The main focus of this role is to provide an efficient and effective records management service to all divisions within the City of Rockingham. In this role you will process and manage hard copy and digital records. You possess knowledge of the State Records Act and have previous experience within records, document control and archiving for medium to large organisations. In addition to your time management skills, you have a keen eye for detail and are solution-focussed.

As part of the Business Systems team in our Corporate Services division, you will supplement your degree with on-the-job learning, gaining experience in coordinating and maintaining the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS).  This includes producing new GIS modules and ensuring the efficient operation of this system.

You have a keen interest in pursuing a career in Local Government, strong academic background and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.  Able to demonstrate your willingness to learn and seek opportunities to develop your professional skills, you are confident in asking questions to learn from others. 

To be the successful candidate, you must have recently graduated (no later than 2022) with a Degree in Geographical Information Systems (or similar) or close to completing your degree.

We are offering a gross salary of $74,999 per annum and:

• 11% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
