Position Responsibilities:
- Assisting in drafting tailored tax advice with the support of your team and various subject matter experts.
- Assist in developing and reviewing internal controls to ensure the enterprise and its business units are in compliance.
- Carry out internal/external reporting and general operational accounting.
- Identify needs and opportunities for process improvements.
- Provide accounting support and financial analysis for Business Leaders.
- Email correspondence to clients.
- Attend to all Daylite Projects and tasks allocated to you promptly.
- Maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally.
- Attend regular team training to keep up to date with legislative and regulatory changes.
- Assistance with recording the Director’s CPD.
- Linking of emails to Daylite system (CRM) for consulting projects.
- Updating Xero Practice Manager weekly for billing purposes for Directors review and discussion at Tuesday weekly meetings.
- Prepare invoices for Tuesday weekly meetings.
- Attend to any other tasks and responsibilities as requested.
Position Competencies:
- Majoring or minoring in Accounting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English);
- Adaptable and driven
- Ability to complete tasks accurately within required timeframes and meet deadlines;
- Results-driven and team oriented;
- Work in a focused manner, with high attention to detail;
- Logical thinking, problem solving skills and sound mathematical skills;
- Follow directions, work cooperatively and effectively with other AAG teams to resolve problems and the ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary;
- Proficient on the computer and able to use Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Email; able to use or willing to learn Daylite, Xero, and any other Consulting Team software systems and protocols; and
- Being trustworthy and honest.
