Graduate or Junior Accountant 

Due to a direct result of growth, our client based in Warriewood is seeking applications for a Graduate or Junior Accountant to join their team.  On the job learning and training will be provided working within our accounts team.

This is a new role within the company to support the Group Accountant and Accounts team.

In this role you will be working in the head office on the Northern beaches with a dedicated, enthusiastic and talented bunch of people who will value your contributions.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Group Accountant, you will be an accounting “all rounder” with exposure to all aspects of accounting from  AP/AR to financial reporting and analysis, as well as supporting the Group Accountant with the requirements of the executive team.

Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Accountant your duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting the accounts department
• AP and AR transactions
• Bank reconciliations
• General Ledger
• Monthly and Adhoc Reporting
• Assist with Statutory reporting and payroll processing
• Assisting with Month end processing

Skills and qualifications
The role requires:

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Mathematical proficiency, including an aptitude for and interest in numbers
• Consistent attention to detail
• Openness to learning and change
• Above average to Advanced Excel workbook skills and experience
• Working knowledge of Xero an advantage but not essential

Education and qualifications 
Tertiary level qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business or Commerce.

Remuneration
A salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
