We are looking for full-time junior consultants – Transport Planners, Traffic Engineers & Transport Modellers – who are passionate about the traffic and transport industry and who demonstrate a willingness to learn and innovate. If successful you can look forward to a diverse and varied role, assisting on a wide range of projects for both the public and private sector, all the while receiving mentoring from experts in the industry as you embark on your chosen career.
As a junior consultant at Ason Group you will:
- Assist on transport studies and the provision of advice across a wide range of sectors and projects.
- Help us to research, identify and implement new technologies.
- Provide technical advice to clients, design team colleagues (planners, architects, civil engineers, etc) and other key stakeholders.
- Continually develop your skills, knowledge, and capabilities in transport.

Combining over 100-years of private consultancy experience, across all aspects of the traffic and transport industry here in Sydney – as well as throughout Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom – you will work alongside, and be mentored by, the Directors, Principals and Senior consultants of Ason Group.
With 25+ staff in our Sydney office, Ason Group has established itself as a leader in the industry supplying all traditional transport planning, traffic engineering and transport modelling services. More importantly, we are constantly researching new areas in which we can leverage our skills – data analytics, road/rail freight logistics and green travel planning & sustainability to name just a few.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for smart and capable individuals who:
- Have completed their tertiary studies and have a qualification in a related field, such as engineering, planning, etc.
- Has a willingness to work within a fast-paced, friendly environment (and has a good sense of humour!).
- Takes pride in their work, has a desire to learn, the vision to solve problems and the courage to ask for assistance.
Professional work experience is not a prerequisite for these Junior Transport roles. However, it is acknowledged that candidates with some real-world work experience will be viewed favourably, and it is expected that (as a minimum) some amount of undergraduate work experience will have been completed.
