About the Position
We are accepting expressions of interest (EOI's) for a Graduate/Junior Accountant to join our busy Finance team based in Clayton South.
Due to the implementation of an ERP system, we have an overflow of finance operational tasks that requires additional support for a 12-month fixed term contract. The hours are 22.8 hrs per week (3 days).
Responsibilities include (but not limited to) supporting the Assistant Accountant and Financial Controller with:
- Daily/Monthly Reconciliation of Financial Reports and analysis.
- Perform regular data validation across multiple systems to ensure data integrity is kept.
- Assisting with Cashflow Preparations.
- Assisting with statutory return preparations – GST, FBT
- Assisting with daily bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with month and year end processes.
- General administrative duties as required.
About You
Are you someone with a can-do attitude, confident and comfortable with accounting and finance principles, and willing to take on whatever is thrown at them?
Other desirable attributes you bring include:
- Well-presented and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and solid knowledge of accounting concepts is a must.
- You will have completed a university degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business.
- Must have strong communication skills, excellent work ethic and the ability to work as part of a team.
