We are currently seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to come join one of our high performing construction delivery teams. In the Site Engineer/CQR role you will perform a hands-on engineering/quality assurance role on civil infrastructure projects, ensuring a quality output is delivered to our client’s satisfaction, whilst realising anticipated returns for SGQ. Position Specific Duties
- With assistance from the Project Manager/Project Engineer analysing design documents for construction methodology, and subsequently assisting with the preparation, implementation and revision of construction program to deliver project objectives and milestones within agreed timeframes;
- Assisting the Project Manager/Project Engineer in arranging all necessary statutory approvals and project authorisations required for construction;
- Organising, with the Site Supervisor, all materials, plant and other resources required for the assigned construction project;
- On site supervision of project staff and other resources for the effective delivery of project outcomes;
- Assisting Project Mgmt./Engineering staff with weekly review of project costs and actively intervening on poor performing activities to improve financial returns;
- Analysing construction documents for client requirements regarding quality outputs;
- Arrange, monitor and control quality testing to ensure specifications are complied with;
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to apply civil engineering principles to infrastructure construction
- Ability to carry out investigations and report on such
- Ability to carry out supervision and direction of project resources
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office software packages
