About the Opportunity
As our first Grants and Fundraising Manager, you will have a natural ability to write compelling proposals and grants that effectively communicate QMF and Qld Music Trail goals. This includes creative writing, editing, and proofreading skills, crafting clear, concise, and persuasive proposals, reports, and award submissions.
One day you will work with the Programming team, gathering data on Qld Music Trail event concepts, scope/scale, budgets, and community engagement. On another day, you will research collaborative projects, to create a distinct value in concepts in health, education, capacity-building, professional development, capital asset acquisition, or infrastructure development.
The next is helping develop and implement fundraising strategies to sustainably fund QMF programs, aligning with government grants, trusts, and foundations at all levels.
This opportunity is in a tight-knit small team that has a passion for arts and a commitment to the mission and values of Qld Music Festival. They succeed with adaptability and tenacity and thrive in a dynamic, fun, and busy environment.
About You
- Strong interest or knowledge of the arts industry, festivals, artists, sponsors, and partners (desirable).
- You LOVE to write compelling proposals, grants, and award submissions that communicate QMF and Qld Music Trail goals effectively and persuasively.
- You live and breathe concepts, analysis, research, and problem-solving complex issues.
- Understand government, trusts, or foundation budgeting and funding processes, including research, proposal development, and grant management.
- Your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills allow you to expertly engage with stakeholders at all levels (internally and externally) ensuring successful outcomes for all parties involved.
