  • 0.6 Part-time role, 3 days / 22.8 hours per week.
  • Based in the brand-new Kew office
  • $70,000 - $80,000 + 11% Superannuation.

About the role:  
  
Guide Dogs Victoria is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grants Coordinator in a part-time capacity, based at our Kew office. This role will be responsible for the successful delivery and management of our grants program, with a specific focus on growth and development of funding relationships and reports to the General Manager Fundraising & Philanthropy.
  
The role works closely with the broader Fundraising, Client Services and Guide Dogs Service delivery teams to identify funding opportunities from the broadest possible range of activities undertaken by Guide Dogs and package these in ways that are appropriate to the needs and interests of potential funders.
  
Key responsibilities:   
  1. Coordinate grant acquisition from various sources such as Trusts, Foundations, PAFs, and government funders.
  2. Organise visits for funders to observe service delivery at the Kew campus.
  3. Ensure timely fulfillment of funders' benefits and provide project updates.
  4. Maintain a comprehensive pipeline register to track submissions, grants, and projects.
  5. Collaborate with Client and Guide Dog Services to identify funding needs.
  6. Develop acquisition strategies to enhance grant revenue growth.
  7. Meet revenue targets and budgets for Guide Dogs Victoria's grants program.
  8. Stay updated on philanthropic trends and recommend relevant strategies.
  9. Maintain accurate records of funder interactions in Guide Dogs Victoria's CRM system.
  10. Represent Guide Dogs Victoria at relevant events and provide clear written communication.
The ideal candidate  
  • Experienced in successful grant proposal writing and donor development.
  • Proficient in influencing and networking, adept at making requests.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional at managing relationships.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Advocates positively for people with disabilities and educates the community.
  • Demonstrates confidentiality and diversity awareness.
  • Resilient, compassionate, empathetic, and a good listener.
