About the role:
An exciting and unique opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as our Project Coordinator for the Capacity and Network Building Grants (CNBG) Initiative within our Schools Unit!
Within this role you will coordinate the building and development of a community of practice for teachers and trainers within the learning environment for the enhancement of student experience in Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) and establishment of best practice in collaboration with our TAFE partners to increase staff Capacity and awareness of Child Safe Standards.
The Project Coordinator – CNBG is a member of the Schools Unit team in the Foundation Education College. This position is responsible for working professionally with employees at all levels across the Box Hill Institute and liaising with relevant external stakeholders, including our partner Kangan Institute and other member of the NSSSFSP network.
The Schools Unit is unique within Box Hill Institute due to its diversity of students, stakeholders, delivery methods and broad business function. Responsible for the delivery and compliance of all senior secondary educational certificates including the VCE at its CBD campus, the Schools Unit has taken a leading role with the introduction of the VCE Vocational Major and Victorian Pathways Certificate. The Schools Unit has set its sight on becoming a ‘centre of excellence’ that integrates and aligns with the Institute’s broader strategic and business operations plans.
This role is fixed term until December 2024. Salary is PACCT 7 $86,530.00 per annum (exclusive of superannuation).
About You:
- Relevant Tertiary qualification in Education within the TAFE/School sector and experience in Learning Support/Child Safety, or extensive industry experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant industry experience and/or education or training
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or its successor TAE40116 minimum) preferred
- Significant experience in learning disorders and language, literacy, numeracy and digital capability support, preferably within the secondary school or TAFE sector
- Experience in process and policy requirements required to promote increased Capacity and awareness
- Identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal, developing systems to guide and track progress, effectively finding solutions to barriers
- Sound knowledge of project coordination principles and demonstrated experience in Coordinating projects in an adult learning environment
- Understands and works to address underlying problems, opportunities or external events affecting BHI and other TAFE/NSSSFPS providers
- Cooperates and works well with others in pursuit of team goals, shares knowledge and information appropriately, shows consideration, concern and respect for the feelings and ideas of others, and works well with different working styles
