About the Role:
One of Australia’s most recognisable brands, the iconic Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ), requires a Graphic Designer to manage the visual future of the red and yellow. The role will be responsible for producing a range of collateral from large scale safety campaigns, government reports through to social media content.
This role will support all business units and ensure all artwork is developed in accordance with the brand standards under the guidance of the communications and marking team.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Production of all SLSQ design assets for print/digital materials including (but not limited to) EDMs, publications, flyers, banners, promotional products, signage, website and social media posts.
- Work closely with different business units to maintain a cohesive visual identity across all assets.
- Liaise with internal staff, and the communication and marketing team to develop their design brief and bring campaigns to life.
- Manage and maintain graphic and campaign files, including photos, logos, and artwork for easy access by SLSQ.
- Website content development and maintenance.
- Liaise with external suppliers ensuring positive outcomes.
- Support with video editing and creation for social media purposes.
Required Education & Experience:
- Graphic design qualifications or equivalent.
- 1-2 years' experience in a Graphic Design role.
- Demonstrated skill and advanced knowledge Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Experience in Adobe Premier Pro video editing is an advantage.
- Experience in EDMs using Mailchimp.
- An understanding of website content management systems is desirable.
- Excellent eye for detail and personal high standard of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- An understanding of print and web design principles.
- Knowledge of prepress and print across all marketing channels.
- Proactive and innovative with sound problem-solving skills.
- The ability to operate autonomously and within a team environment.

It was formally established in 1930 and is the governing body for surf lifesaving in Queensland, comprising 57 affiliated surf lifesaving clubs in six regional branches.
