Our mission is to redefine the essential everyday bag for life on the go, with a focus on minimal yet sophisticated style. Belinda Alexander built Base around her busy family life, aiming to cater to individuals with a keen sense of style and a need for functionality. Overtime, Base has evolved into a recognised brand, with products stocked in numerous independent boutiques, e-commerce platforms, and major retailers across Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. As Base continues to expand and innovate, we are seeking a talented Graphic Designer/marketing coordinator to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creative direction of our brand and shape the visual identity of our products.
Qualifications & experience
- Degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in graphic design or similar field.
- Experience working with a lifestyle/fashion brand is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator and Indesign).
- Experience in MailChimp or Klayvio and designing/building email marketing templates including campaign building, testing and sending.
- Experience in Shopify platform preferred.
- Up to date with the latest design trends, digital best practices, AI and technology to bring innovative ideas and solutions.
- Basic knowledge of HTML,CSS and web design principles is beneficial.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Working closely with the Director/Owner to collaborate on design and marketing strategies for product launch campaigns and promotions.
- Create compelling visual content that aligns with the Base brand aesthetic and resonates with our target audience. This will include; animations, video, GIF's for social media, websites, email marketing, paid ads and other formats that communicate how our products/brand solves customer needs.
- Creation of packaging elements, look-books and other general marketing and seasonal launch collateral.
- Marketing tasks including but not limited to; scheduling social media posts (Facebook, Instagram), EDM scheduling.
- Website management and enhancement of the online store.
- Maintenance and organisation of digital assets and all design files.
