ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Casual Grounds person/General Hand to assist with the maintenance of all buildings and grounds, furniture and fittings, including plant and equipment to the highest standard.

Please note, this is a casual opportunity that will be based at The King’s School Tudor House campus in Moss Vale.

To be successful for this role, you will need to have the following skills, knowledge and attributes:

• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor as required to fulfill their general duties
• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the School’s sport fields and surrounding grounds and gardens
• Assisting with the setup of marquees and seating as required for sporting events
• Assisting in the maintenance of fire trails, paddocks and formal gardens
• Ensure any chemical spraying is done in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
• Ensure all Plant and Equipment is maintained to the highest standard
• Undertake general building and grounds maintenance  
• Ensure all work being undertaken is of a safe nature 
• Fencing, clear fire trails, use of chain saw and manual handling 
• Previous experience with large scale properties such as schools, golf courses or hobby farms would be advantageous
• Horticultural qualifications are preferred but not essential 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Initiative and good decision making skills
