This is a permanent part-time position, working 22.8 hours per week. We're flexible on how you structure your week and are open to discussing different options that may work for you and us!
What you'll do
Plan, execute, and manage a diverse range of events, including but not limited to end-of-year and end of financial year celebrations across all states to important inclusivity and development initiatives like NAIDOC week, International Women's Day, and professional development sessions.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive event plan, ensuring all aspects are covered from conceptualisation to execution.
- Selecting and booking venues and meeting rooms.
- Coordinating dates internally and externally, along with managing invitations.
- Securing and coordinating speakers, facilitators and activities to enrich event offerings.
- Compiling a detailed event run sheet and ensuring the smooth operation of the event.
- Engaging and managing delivery of events through key location contacts.
- Managing event related payments and supplier coordination, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
What you'll bring
- Experience in event planning and coordination
- Strong communication skills with ability to build cross-location and cross-operational relationships
- An eye for detail with strong organisational skills and ability to keep things on track
- Ability to be proactive in anticipating needs and potential hurdles. You have a plan A, B and C to deal with any potential glitches.
- Experience in supporting People & Culture initiatives is advantageous
