Role: Group Business Director
Digital Channels: Social, Programmatic, Search, BVOD, Video, Display, Content, Partnerships
Offline Channels: TV, Radio, OOH, Print
Location: Melbourne
Roles & Responsibilities (This role has 4 Aspects to it)
1. Client Management
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with key clients, acting as the main point of contact.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, providing insights and guidance on media and advertising strategies.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality work and exceeding client expectations.
2. Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of account managers and other professionals, providing direction, support, and mentorship.
- Oversee the allocation of resources across accounts to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
- Oversee the development and execution of media and advertising campaigns, ensuring they align with client objectives and brand guidelines.
3. Strategic Planning & Communication
- Develop and oversee the implementation of comprehensive media strategies that align with client goals.
- Collaborate with other departments within the agency, such as creative, digital, and analytics, to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
- Encourage and foster a culture of innovation within the team to keep the agency's offerings competitive and forward-thinking.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on account performance, business development activities, and team achievements.
4. Financial Management & Business Development
- Oversee the profit and loss (P&L) for the group of accounts, ensuring financial health and sustainability.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts, contributing to the agency's overall financial planning.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow existing accounts and acquire new business.
- Lead and participate in pitch processes for new business opportunities, preparing proposals, and presenting to potential clients.
- Achieve revenue targets and profitability goals for the agency.
What we are looking for
Experience
- Industry Experience: Extensive experience in the media and advertising industry, with a deep understanding of media planning, buying, and campaign execution.
- Client Management: Proven track record of managing high-profile clients and large accounts.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Business Development: Experience in business development, including pitching for new business and expanding existing accounts.
- Strategic Planning: Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and media strategies.
- Financial Management: Experience managing budgets, financial forecasting, and achieving revenue targets.
- Project Management: Experience overseeing the development and execution of complex media and advertising campaigns.
