Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: AMI) (‘Aurelia’) is an Australian gold and base metals mining and exploration company. We own and operate three underground mines and processing facilities in New South Wales (NSW) and have an enviable portfolio of organic growth prospects in the region.
Our Peak Mine comprises two underground polymetallic (gold, lead, zinc, copper, and silver) mines and an 800 thousand tonnes per annum processing plant. The Mine is located in the northern Cobar Basin in western NSW, a short distance from the town of Cobar.
The Federation deposit hosts high-grade zinc, lead, and gold mineralisation and is located in 15 kilometres south of the central-west township of Nymagee and approximately 90 kilometres from Peak. The opportunity to help shape the future of a new mine does not come around often!

The Role
Step into a transformative role as the Group Information Systems Manager, where you will lead the Information Systems & Technology strategy across our operations in Brisbane and Cobar region. This position offers a unique blend of strategic oversight, business partnering and hands on operational management, ensuring that our Information Systems and IT frameworks not only meet but exceed the evolving demands of the business.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive IS strategy that aligns with the Aurelia Group's business goals, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to a site based IT Support Specialist, fostering skill development and career progression within the IT team
- Manage the IS capital and operating budgets, ensuring they align with our strategic IT initiatives and deliver value.
- Spearhead the creation and implementation of innovative IS solutions that drive efficiency and support the group's growth ambitions.
- Establish robust risk management protocols to safeguard our systems and data against emerging threats, including a focus on cybersecurity.
- Oversee the relationship with outsourced IT Managed Service Providers to ensure service excellence, adherence to contractual obligations, and alignment with our strategic IT goals
- Work closely with various business units to ensure that the IS strategy is integrated and responsive to the needs of every aspect of our operations.
About You
- You have a degree in IT or a related field, complemented by extensive experience in managing corporate IT functions.
- You possess a visionary outlook with the ability to lead strategic initiatives that respond to technological trends and business needs.
- You are known for your ability to devise and implement creative IT solutions that address complex business challenges.
- Your leadership style fosters collaboration, inspires your team, and cultivates strong relationships across all levels of the organization
- You have proven experience managing and OT infrastructure in sectors such as mining, heavy industry, or manufacturing, understanding the critical importance of maintaining continuous operations.
- Ready to respond to emergency calls, ensuring continuous support and swift resolutions in critical situations
- Able to periodically visit sites to directly engage with teams and oversee on-ground IT operations
- You possess sound knowledge of distributed networking, including LAN, WAN, switches, and routers, essential for leading the design and maintenance of site connectivity
- You must hold a current manual driver’s license, enabling you to visit various sites as needed for direct engagement and oversight of IT operations
