The Westpoint Autos and HG Groups are a large successful family owned and operated Automotive Dealer Group in Queensland spanning from Beaudesert to Bowen and headquartered in the western suburbs of Brisbane. Our diverse range of automotive franchises include new vehicle OEM, authorised service and repair workshops, a 4WD & Off-Road Superstore, new and used caravan & camper sales, an independent finance & brokerage business, a rideshare and subscription partnership, plus one of the largest used vehicle operations in Queensland.
With continued growth and multiple dealerships throughout Queensland we require an experienced and hands-on Group IT Manager to lead, develop and implement our IT operations across multiple dealerships and various platforms.
This is a rare opportunity for an IT management professional to join a growing organisation on a full-time basis, where no two days will ever be the same! Daily travel across our sites will be required, along with the occasional trips further a field within Queensland.
Essential to your success, we will require the following skills and attributes:
- Prior experience in the development, implementation and future proofing of our company wide IT projects from managing on-site and cloud based servers, IT infrastructure, online security and CCTV networking, our 'Bring Your Own Device' program, IT helpdesk and support, hardware and software management and complex telephone systems just to name a few;
- Exceptional knowledge of Excel and other report building databases to assist with problem solving, report generation to maximise efficiency of our internal Dealer Management System - Titan DMS;
- Superior IT systems administration and network knowledge, including configuration, setup and maintenance of programs
- Ability to build relationships with staff at all levels and able to work as part of a team on a consistent basis
- Strong leadership skills to manage, lead and further develop a team of IT professionals, both locally and remotely
- Impeccable attention to detail and communication skills coupled with exceptional time management skills
- Commercial astuteness within the Automotive Industry, including common practices and processes
Whilst the role will pre-dominantly be a Monday to Friday position, there will be requirements to work after hours and/or weekends to rectify issues and/or system upgrades to ensure the least disruption to the dealership/s operations.
This role is only suitable to an outstanding IT professional with automotive industry experience and a strong focus on delivering on time, the first time.
Your absolute key strengths would need to encompass:
- ability to work unsupervised and provide direction to staff
- proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and the Titan DMS software (favourable)
- exceptional time management skills and a strong understanding of strict deadlines
- immaculate personal presentation portraying a professional image, and
- the ability to manage and lead a team, work as part of wider team, contribute ideas and knowledge share.
