The Outside Plant Manager will manage and lead a group of multi-disciplined, specialist staff and contractors engaged in the design, construction, commissioning and maintenance of Core, and Access infrastructure projects.
Your day to day will consist of...
- Implementing and aligning strategy, meeting deliverables for combining Assurance and Fixed Core Engineering activities.
- Perform emergency maintenance activities by attending faults as required.
- Manage and complete Damages and Relocations (DAR) projects including (but not limited to): client liaison, design preparation, quote preparation through the RFQ process, execution of the relocation/damage repair, financial reconciliation related to the projects.
- Effective WH&S Plan and Risk Management Plan for employees and contractors to adhere to in the field at state level.
- Efficient and effective contract management of Optus contractors performing site surveys, construction, relocation and commissioning activities in the field at state level.
What makes you perfect for the role?
- Experience in fibre optic delivery and or assurance
- Proven experience fixing fibre optics in the field
- Previous experience as a people leader advantageous
- Broad technical telecommunications experience with Project Management skills
