About your role:
As our Group LeaderCivil and Construction, you'll be at the helm of coordinating activities, managing staff and contractors, and ensuring projects are completed smoothly. You'll lead a dedicated crew, playing a vital role in shaping our stunning region. With a 9-day fortnight schedule, you'll have the perfect balance between work and life, with opportunities for overtime through our after-hours on-call roster.
Your key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Supervisor to implement and manage maintenance and renewal programs for a range of different Council assets
- Ensure plant and equipment is utilised effectively and efficiently
- Coach, mentor and develop your team to achieve the best possible outcomes for the organisation and staff
- Engage and oversee contractors relating to the undertaking of all external Council works.
What we're looking for:
- Practical experience in Civil and Construction planning, maintenance and improvement
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting and implementing engineering and architectural drawings with regard to the asset and infrastructure development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
