The Opportunity
Silk is looking for a dynamic and passionate Group Manager – FP&A to join our team on Full Time basis. This role will be responsible for overseeing the group financial planning & performance reporting function along with providing finance support for the operating business segments. The role will also play a critical part in enabling the group to efficiently scale financial processes to meet future growth ambitions.
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Development of budget and planning tool; working closely and collaboratively with an implementation partner to deliver agreed outcomes
- Development of finance reporting capability using PowerBI and other tools
- Development of Finance systems, incorporating existing systems but identifying – gaps / development opportunities / future state
- Lead a small team 2 members, providing clear direction, mentoring and advocacy
- Develop cycle of budgets / forecasts / rolling-projections
- Develop suite of financial & operational dashboard reporting metrics to support performance reporting in each segment and location
- Delivery of annual Budget that meets or exceeded expectations in relation to process, quality of analysis, communication, link to Operations and within agreed timelines
- Capital decision-making – considered analysis of decision options with a recommendation taking into account P&L, cash flow and bank covenant reporting requirements
- Support business unit financial / metric reporting as required (i.e. procurement savings / solutions project efficiency outcomes)
- At all times ensuring compliance with WH&S Policies and Procedures and legislative requirements
To be successful in this role you'll have
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or similar discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar FP&A management role
- Sound decision making skills based on accurate and timely analysis
- Results oriented and metrics driven
- Exceptional time management and able to solve problems
- Keen sense of awareness regarding industry trends, competition and new technologies
