About the Role The Psychosocial Group Program coordinator will provide a range of services and support appropriate to the needs of the Department of Addiction Medicine(DoAM), including the development and delivery of evidenced based Group Programs; establishing referral processes; data collection and supporting frameworks for a Group Program at DoAM. Services provided may include developing collaborative partnerships with community Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services to ensure that DoAM can provide a wide range of Group Programs
Develop partnerships and collaborative working arrangements within the hospital and between DoAM and the Public and private AoD and related sectors.
Support the development and delivery of a psychosocial Group Program at DoAM
Ensure that DoAM can provide a wide range of Psychosocial groups with targeted assessment and treatment.
Engagement with clients and achievement of goals as per their Individual Treatment Plan
Assist in the achievement of the department's activity and quality targets
Classifications for this position will range from Social Worker Grade 2 SC21 - SC24 ($86,730 - $99,699 per annum pro rata) or Registered Nurse ZA4 - ZJ4 ($107,962 - $113,646 per annum pro rata) Your Contribution
Well developed skills and experience in designing, delivering and evaluating AOD and or MH Group Programs
Knowledge of and experience with the Victorian AoD Service system and related sectors - forensic; primary health; welfare etc.
Well developed experience in Community engagement and cross sector collaboration
Ability to provide clinical leadership and act as a role model / mentor to staff in providing evidence-based practice in drug and alcohol psychosocial treatment and management - in particular group based, research and evidence informed interventions.
An extensive understanding of practice issues associated with substance use and Mh - Dual Diagnosis.
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Department of Addiction Medicine The Department of Addiction Medicine at St. Vincent's (which includes De Paul House withdrawal unit) is one of Australia's leading centers for the medical treatment of drug or alcohol addiction. The work includes direct patient treatment, research, education/training and policy development.
