ACT Leisure Program is a disability service provider, known for delivering rewarding and comprehensive support to NDIS participants. We pride ourselves on providing our clients with worthwhile recreational activities such as art and cooking classes, walking groups and weekly barbecues.
Due to rapid growth within our business, we are searching for experienced Group Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis!

About the Role
- Working in a unique group environment
- Assist clients learning a new skills to achieve their NDIS goals
- Assist clients with their medications
- Demonstrated experience/knowledge in working with people with disability
- Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and ADLs
- Ability to support clients in a social environment
- Ability to work with clients in their local community
- Ability to work independently when directed to
- Available for the morning, afternoon, weekend shifts and sleepover
About You
- Relevant qualifications in the community services industry (Disability, Mental Health etc) and administering medicines.
- Have personal care and/or Aged care experience.
- Friendly and enthusiastic personality who has professional experience in the disability and mental health sector
- Preferably have experience in alcohol and other drugs, and personal care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Be reliable and willing to go the extra mile
- Have an understanding of the NDIS
- Have a personal interest in our various programs including: art classes, cooking classes, agriculture & social groups
- Must have a valid National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
- Must have a Working with Vulnerable People Check or willingness to obtain one
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain one
- Current Administration of Medication Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Current Manual Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Available to work varying shift hours
- Available to work across the ACT and surrounding if required
- Legal rights to work in Australia
- Own transport and current Australian Drivers License (no restrictions)
