Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experiencedGroup Travel Consultantto join our dynamic business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating extraordinary Group Travel experiences, exceptional organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. As a Group Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for growing and nurturing existing client relationships, coordinating and managing all aspects of group bookings coming to Outback Pioneers, and ensuring seamless execution from planning to post-trip evaluation.
Responsibilities:
Client Consultation and Relationships:
- Engage with Coach Tour Operators, Retail Agents, Clubs and Schools to understand their unique Group Travel requirements, preferences and objectives to provide expert advice on Outback Pioneers' experiences and accommodation.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure high-quality services for group clients.
Booking Management:
- Overseethe entire booking process, including reservations, ticketing, and accommodation arrangements.
Group Travel Planning:
- Coordinate on-the-ground transfers, accommodation, and activities for groups, ensuring smooth logistics throughout.
- Manage run sheets, implement contingency plans and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Client Service:
- Proactively manage and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during the planning and/or delivery of Group Travel.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in customer service or hospitality with a focus on group bookings preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
- Knowledge of the outback region and Australian tourism industry preferred
- Proficiency in cloud-based booking platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM platform
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Tourism certificate and/ or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
- Commitment to outstanding customer service and exceptional experiences for visitors.
Other:
Salary to be negotiated commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position working either onsite in Longreach, Queensland or off-site elsewhere in Australia. We will consider applicants looking for full time, part time or contract roles.
