An exciting opportunity exists in our Australian business, for the role of Handyman (Property Services Coordinator) on a full time basis working 5 days per week (Monday - Friday), reporting to the Facilities Supervisor.
The role will be based at Murdoch University Village with an hourly rate of $32.30.
Duties
- General maintenance and presentation of the Villages’ grounds.
- Providing handyman repair work.
- Acting as an on-site contact for external contractors and trades persons.
- Assisting with spot, scheduled and end of semester room checks.
- Providing advice on maintenance issues when required.
- Proven ability to perform various maintenance and repair work.
- An ability to meet tight time frames without compromising quality and safety.
- Demonstrated initiative in problem solving, being receptive and open to new ideas.
- A good working knowledge of OH&S standards.
- Previous experience interacting with customers.
- An ability to work with limited supervision.
- General computer skills including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Well-developed communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
