The Role
Reporting to Capital
Program Director and based in Windsor, the purpose of this position is to drive
the delivery of Council’s Infrastructure Recovery program funded under
Government’s Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements program to restore
community infrastructure damaged by the recent natural disasters in the region.
The position provides leadership and guidance to the Infrastructure Recovery
Team, with the support of the Capital Program Director, and takes
responsibility for the internal and external reporting on the delivery of the
program.
The
position collaborates with other Teams and Branches within Council, to achieve
Council’s purpose of building a Hawkesbury that is loved by its people.
About You
You will have
completed your tertiary studies in Project Management, Engineering,
Construction or other relevant technical discipline, or demonstrated equivalent
competencies gained through experience. You will have strong demonstrated
experience and comprehensive understanding of relevant Project Management and
Contract Management practices and principles and system implementation.
You will have the
ability to communicate, engage and maintain relationships with internal and
external stakeholders. Have the ability to lead a team which will achieve
Council’s purpose of building a Hawkesbury that is loved by its people.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management,
Engineering, Construction, or relevant technical discipline, or demonstrated
equivalent competencies gained through experience. - Demonstrated experience and comprehensive
understanding of relevant Project Management and Contract Management practices
and principles and system implementation. - Extensive financial management experience i.e.,
budget controls, estimations, resource planning and project management. - 10+ Years experience delivering Capital Works and
Infrastructure projects above $5 m. - A strong background in building, managing and
leading high performing teams with a focus on customer service and continuous
improvement. - A demonstrated ability to build productive
relationships with key stakeholders, communicate effectively in a range of
settings and work constructively with staff at all levels across the
organisation. - Class C Drivers Licence
- WorkCover WHS General Induction for Construction
