About Us: Bella Mediterranean Restaurant offers Mediterranean fusion dishes with a modern touch, set against the backdrop of Darwin Waterfront's stunning views.
Responsibilities:
- Lead kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and quality control.
- Create Mediterranean-inspired menus using seasonal ingredients and trends.
- Manage food purchasing, inventory, and cost control to maintain profitability.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
- Collaborate with management to develop special menus and promotions.
- Maintain consistent food quality and exceed guest expectations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant.
- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate kitchen staff.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Food safety certification and HACCP knowledge.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Wages: Based on Restaurant Industry Award 2023 Standards:
- Full-Time: Salary based on a minimum of 38 hours per week. Holiday and personal leave accrued pro-rata, with salary determined by the level of experience.
