Head Chef – Darwin – Northern Territory
We are seeking a talented Head Chef for one of Darwin’s most popular, award-winning venues.
Whether you are an experienced Head Chef or a strong sous chef ready to take the next step in your hospitality career, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well respected company offering an enjoyable work environment where you can take ownership of the kitchen and have fun whilst doing it.
Offering modern pub food, the venue offers alfresco style dining in a relaxed atmosphere soaking in the beautiful sights of Darwin. The venue is open for lunch and dinner 7 days week.
Working with your kitchen team, you will be a hands-on leader working across all areas of the kitchen, passionate about exceeding customer expectations, and able to mentor and encourage your team.
Package:
- $90,000 Salary
- $500 F&B Allowance per month
We are seeking someone who is:
- Passionate about producing great menus with creativity and flavour
- Have high energy levels required to work in a fast-paced high-volume kitchen
- Highly engaged with your team with the ability to develop fellow chefs in the kitchen
- Able to supervise, mentor and guide 5+ chefs and kitchen hands
- Strong knowledge of manning levels, staff rosters, wage costs and kitchen KPI’s
- Experience with stock ordering, menu costings and stock control
- Able to maintain a high level of kitchen cleanliness
- Comfortable being hands on across all areas of the kitchen
- Highly organised
- An excellent communicator with friendly unflappable demeanour
