About the Role – Head Motor Mechanic
Are you an experienced Motor Mechanic with 2 years plus experience supervising the workshop?
This role is about leading, mentor and ensuring smooth operations. In this role, you will maintain and repair light vehicles through identifying and rectifying faults, as well as following specific vehicle manufacturer guidelines to deliver an industry leading level of customer service.
You will be held to a standard that is aimed to enhance the company, its products and services, optimizing customer safety and satisfaction.
You will be working in a well-equipped and organised workshop, closely alongside your service advisor, Head Motor Mechanic, tyre technicians and wheel aligners.
Your day-to-day tasks would include
- Follow the workflow and manage the daily operations of the workshop.
- Supervising and mentoring staff
- Repairing and maintaining customer vehicles
- E - Safe Inspections
- Identifying mechanical faults as well as issues with vehicle stability and tyre wear
- Administrative duties such as carrying out inspection reports, writing and issuing invoices.
- Safely operating hoists
- Conducting road tests as required
About you
- Preferably 2 or more years experience as a Head Motor Mechanic
- Must have RMS AIA qualification
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers and team members
- Have excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and able to carry out day-to-day duties
- Knowledge of WHS practices
- Available Saturdays rotating roster
- MUST have experienced in the automotive tyre industry
