You could be one of our 2700 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About the roleAs the Head of Assurance, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Safety Sustainability & Risk Group.Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer this is a new and integral role that will manage and own the Enterprise Assurance Framework and Strategic Internal Audit Program. You will lead a team of specialists to ensure risks are assured and reported to the Executive Leadership team (ELT), Audit and Risk Committee and the Department of Transport and Planning.Key Accountabilities include:· Work in collaboration with the Senior Leadership (SLT) team to ensure risks are structured through an enterprise approach to managing all risks.· Responsible for implementation and management of the Enterprise Assurance Framework Management to ensure V/Line’s compliance with the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework.· Oversee the Strategic Internal Audit Charter.· Provide advice, risk opinions and to support V/Line’s operations and strategic objectives.· Lead a team of Assurance specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.For a full copy of the position description please contact Marie-Anne Ramondino, Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner atAbout youTo be successful in this role you will have strong interpersonal skills and leadership capability along with an open mindset and can-do attitude to continuously develop and strive in the role.Our ideal candidate will possess the following:· Proven experience in a similar role within a complex organisation.· Strong knowledge of Assurance methodologies and regulations.· Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.· Internal and external Auditor qualifications and experience of managing Internal Audit providers.· Experienced in Board reporting.· 5+ years’ senior assurance risk role experience.· Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.In addition to free Myki travel, we offer:
