Head of Claims Job Specification
Summary
As Head of Claims for Hutch, you’ll lead our claims team, leveraging our advanced technology to offer market leading service levels to our brokers and clients.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you’ll have full responsibility for the Claims function including:
- Managing the digital claims journey on our market leading tech platform, offering automation, finance, supplier management, built-in GICOP monitoring, CRM, customer and broker portals etc.
- Managing our team of expert claim handlers across our multiple product lines, including Strata, Construction (both Material Damage and Liability), Professional Indemnity and General Liability
- Manage our panel of suppliers including lawyers, adjusters, repairers and IT vendors
- Deliver extraordinary levels of service that delight our brokers & their clients
- Work with management and underwriters to feedback on claims trends
Qualifications & Experience
You’re legally qualified and may be practicing as a lawyer currently and dreaming of a world that isn’t split into six-minute increments, or already working in an insurer. Either way you’ve been handling claims for six years or more and ideally have built and led teams and know what makes a good operation.
You have specific experience handling long tail classes such as professional indemnity and liability, and ideally would have handled construction claims as well. If you’ve handled property and strata claims, even better.
