Residential System
  • Continuing, full-time position
  • $129,602 per annum (HEO 10)
  • Plus 17% employer superannuation
  • Salary packaging options are available
  • Relocation assistance provided
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum

About the role
The Residential System comprises five UNE owned and operated Colleges providing a range of living arrangements for students. The Residential System can accommodate up to 1500 students and has a vibrant community with a strong support structure. The Head of College is responsible for the provision of a safe, academically oriented, and supportive educational and social environment within the College.
The Head of College works collaboratively with Communications, Student Experience, Estate Building and Environment, People and Culture and Safe Communities for the provision of leadership opportunities, student support and academic programs in the College.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • The capacity to think and plan strategically, especially in relation to student groups, and have excellent problem-solving, analytical and diagnostic skills
  • High-level initiative as well as program management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong ability in consultation and negotiation
  • The ability to interpret complex policies relating to resident safety and welfare
  • An empathy with young people
