That’s why we need a high-performing Head of Commercial to join our team and help us grow our market share globally.

Requirements

This is a founding commercial role at a rapidly growing startup. As such, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle from pipeline generation to initial close of deal, then monitoring pilot performance in partnership with our customer success team in order to convert pilots into enterprise licenses. Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets (100% growth YOY)
  • Proactively identify and engage with key stakeholders and decision-makers at target universities
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of universities across Australia, in partnership with our marketing team
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with higher ed customers, understanding their needs and working with them to identify how our product offering can meet those needs
  • Consistently identify and improve our commercial offering and delivery method across pricing, go-to-market, and implementation
  • Collaborate with internal teams - including marketing, customer success, and product - to drive growth and improve our product

Professional Skills

  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate adeptness in both written and verbal communication as well as active listening. Capable of presenting professionally and conveying information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Negotiation: Ability to convince senior stakeholders of the value of our product offering, respectfully navigate pushback without damaging relationships, and hold in balance the needs of the customer with the needs of the business.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a customer-centric approach at all times; build strong relationships with potential customers as well as existing customers in order to facilitate business growth.
  • Organisation/Attention to Detail: Comfortable managing a high level of activities and information with a low margin of error.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience owning the full sales cycle at an early-stage start-up
  • Substantial experience in enterprise sales and/or business development
  • Proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies successfully
  • You have worked for a global market-leading education technology provider

Cadmus is a remote-friendly company, and this role is open to candidates anywhere in Australia. We have an office in Melbourne for those who with to use it.
