About the role
Be part of leading a commercial function, that delivers innovative, proactive and insightful decision support and analysis to the business, covering the following areas:
- profitability analysis and reporting (by product, plant, function, etc.);
- commercial support and analysis of new product costings, business case proposals, capital expenditure requests (including considering the commercial and operational implications of contractual terms);
- lead the strategic analysis and insight into customer pricing (store issue prices) and margin maximisation (including the related system development); and
- other projects (3 year revenue planning, margin pricing changes, business initiatives etc.)
Promote and work closely with the business areas and the wider financial team to:
- improve the Commercial Finance teams understanding of business activities and the business areas understanding of financial matters;
- improve the co-operation between the finance team and the business areas;
- improve financial and control processes/practices to protect the business assets, reputation and build the confidence of key stakeholders (internal and external).

About you:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience.
- Demonstrated and detailed commercial experience, and highly skilled across modelling and systems.
- SAP standard costing and business intelligence system experience would be advantageous.
- Significant practical experience in FMCG organisations that are complex in nature and evolving in terms of their sophistication regarding their financial tools and practices.
- Significant experience in preparing and presenting business cases and financial proposals in PowerPoint / Word to senior executives.
- Very strong and deep understanding of the revenue model, profitability, customer activities and the commercial customer contract terms.
- Superior analytical and interpretative skills.
- Strong ERP and standard costing system skills.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deal with multi-level relationships.
