About the Role

Markets delivers innovative product solutions across foreign exchange, capital markets, fixed income, commodities, and risk management expertise. Nearly 1,200 professionals work in our team in dealing rooms located across a global network of 30+ countries. Markets operates in all major ANZ geographies.

 

The Head of Cross Asset Solutions – Institutional Corporate Australia will drive the execution of the Sales strategic priorities in alignment with the Australia Markets Sales strategy and in co-ordination with partners in Australia Institutional Relationship. This role will establish a cross-asset centre of expertise across our asset classes for Australian Institutional Corporates. 

 

The role will be responsible for the financial results of the Australian Institutional corporate salesforce, from driving new products, relationships and augmenting cross-sell. The individual will be actively involved in integrating the sales function across FX, Rates, Options and Structuring to deliver seamless execution to our clients. They need to role model the required behaviours and culture of Markets to ensure compliance across high performance, risk and client outcomes. The role will be critical to delivering #1 Ranking for ANZ in the Peter Lee Australia Corporate Rates and FX Surveys.

Your key accountabilities in this role:

 

  • Uplift revenues in Australian Institutional Corporate Sales to reflect Markets Australia’s Institutional customer priorities through new product build, targeted customer solutions delivered through detailed account planning, cross-sell, customer acquisition and client service
  • Drive collaboration to achieve Australian Institutional Corporate & Commercial Sales regional and Global Markets business financials
  • Work and connect with Relationship and Product Partners to ensure comprehensive understanding and management of the client portfolio and, working with the Australia Commercial sales LT identify all wallet opportunities, create account plans, increase ANZ’s share of wallet with Top-30 Institutional Corporate accounts in Australia across all asset classes
  • Roll out and drive customer initiatives in Australia, in collaboration with relationship to foster revenue growth (active account management) and enhance efficiency throughout the various customer segments and aCross Asset classes
  • Drive the franchise, working in conjunction with traders and regional heads to identify and effectively cross-sell products
  • Alignment and adherence with Markets governance policies, processes and standards and with external regulatory requirements
  • Support Head of Au Institutional Corporate and Commercial sales in oversight and monitoring of the Risk Culture programme taking specific accountability for initiatives/actions as required
  • Role modelling and promoting ANZ values, Create.Deliver.Together behaviours and our aspirational culture and leading the team to do the same

About You

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring the following:

 

  • Significant cross-Asset Sales experience with large institutional clients in Australia with a focus on large corporates
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, influence and collaborate with cross functional teams and across the ANZ network
  • Breadth of product knowledge across Markets products (FI, FX and solutions structures)
  • Demonstrated expertise in leadership of a dynamic team who work in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong customer focus and ability to develop strong relationships.
  • Experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders and negotiating with clients and stakeholders at all seniority levels.
  • The ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, anchoring your approach in ANZ’s values and leadership behaviours. This includes a reputation for coaching, encouraging curiosity and investing in people development.
