Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) Product Operations team is responsible for the delivery of diverse mix of initiatives relating to product, product services and operations. In this role you will be accountable for leading the delivery function including identification, priortisation of initiatives and embedding core delivery processes within the broader team. You will collaborate with Product team, WPB teams and group functions (Operations, Risk, Technology).
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead the prioritization and development of WPB Product initiatives, including the establishment of the Product Delivery function within the WPB Product team.
- Accountable for the successful delivery of approved WPB Product initiatives and change management to support the WPB Product Business.
- Provide appropriate data and reporting to support live projects, and post implementation reporting for lessons learned and benefit realization.
- Coach and embed core Delivery Practices across the broader WPB Product team through the delivery of initiatives and change process.
- Apply the correct and appropriate procedures and controls to ensure full adherence to Group, legal and regulatory project & change management requirements across all WPB functional areas.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Finance and/or business-related field with relevant experience in business/change/project management in financial services, preference for retail banking experience.
- Experience with both waterfall and agile project management/ delivery methodology , with comprehensive knowledge of external environment (risk, regulatory, political, competitors etc.)
- Strong program governance capabilities ensuring effective senior management oversight.
- Excellent communication skills and proven stakeholder-engagement experience, ideally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong ability to use data-driven insights to develop business plans within the broad context of strategic goals and change them as results warrant.
- Thorough understanding of retail deposit operations, pertinent regulations impacting retail banking.
