About the Role
As the Head of Department - English, you will be a skilled instructional leader with strong organisational skills and English expertise. You will lead curriculum in line with strategic vision and developed school planning, with a focus on quality teaching and learning for improved student achievement.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Implementation of the English Curriculum Years 7-12 through quality pedagogy and teaching and learning practices.
- Contribute to the academic learning culture and implement programs and processes in English that support quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Professionally support teachers, especially early career teachers, and contribute to positive staff wellbeing.
- Leadership of whole school literacy initiatives.
