(Organisation site ) Metropolitan South Region, Early Childhood and State Schools Division Glenala State High School is looking for an enthusiastic Head of Department to lead our Humanities and LOTE Department starting from the beginning of Semester Two 2024 until the end of Term 1 2025. The successful applicant will lead our dynamic Humanities Faculty and will work to develop and maintain highstandards for both staff and students. This is a temporary full-time position to commence 8 July 2024 until 4 April 2025 unless otherwise determined. About the Role As the Head of Department - Humanities/LOTE you will: Participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division Lead the development of the curriculum for Australian Curriculum Version 9 Build teacher capability in the whole school pedagogical approach and PBL framework Quality Assure the teaching and learning of the department through moderation and classroom observation processes. Provide an inclusive and assessable environment for teachers, parents and the community. Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
