Gladstone Central State School is seeking applications to fill a full-time temporary Head of Department, Student Services with a focus on Inclusion position from 8 July 2024 to 13 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.
As the Head of Department, Student Services, you will provide educational leadership of inclusive school reform through development of inclusive culture, policies and practices with an Equity and Excellence lens.
You will also have the opportunity to build capacity of staff to tailor supports and adjustments to drive and improve all students learning.re about the uni/school, work environment, team culture or team priorities.

About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance in schools where a significant percentage of students may have a disadvantaged background, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Where requested, prepare all data returns for the Principal.
- Provide management and engagement strategies including induction activities of new arrivals, and advise on specific academic, social and emotional needs of new arrivals.
- Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
