The Opportunity
The Head of Disaster Recovery is a key member of Macquarie Cloud Services' Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Group Executive. They are responsible for building and delivering a successful Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Practice. The primary focus is driving sales outcomes, targeting domestic Mid-Market companies, and other aligned businesses. This involves generating leads, building pipelines, and creating a sustainable, growing retail colocation business.
This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of 3 days in our CBD offices and the remaining working from home. #LI-Hybrid

What you'll be doing
- Define, build, and execute the business plan and go-to-market strategy for DR & BCP.
- Drive pipeline and deliver growth for new prospects and existing accounts.
- Feed and inform product development to ensure the product catalogue meets, customer needs and expectations.
- Provide reporting and insights to Key Stakeholders and the Executive team.
- 5+ years of experience in Leadership roles in an IT services business.
- Worked in or for a business that has sold IT Equipment and/or infrastructure as a core competency.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a New Business Development strategy for Australia.
- Experience winning business in the mid-large Corporate IT market.
- Deal and contract negotiation skills.
- Proven bid-management skills.
- High-level deal and contract negotiation skills.
- Commercial background.
- Great communicator.
- Strategic account management experience.
- Worked with alliance partners.
- Demonstrated ability to build and iterate product sets to suit the market.
