Tackling tomorrow’s issues today leads to solutions to some of our biggest problems, such as chronic disease and mental ill health.We teach children and young people aged 3-13 the health, safety and well-being skills to make better decisions throughout their lives, creating a holistic impact on their long-term health.We apply evolving best practice to our programs to continually meet the changing needs of Australian children, schools and communities. All of Life Ed’s modules are evidence-backed, strengths-based and curriculum-aligned. It is also independently verified by external research and continuously tested on the ground by 130+ education specialists.The Role:As our new Head of Education and Impact, this is your opportunity to take the reins and drive forward our mission of empowering young people to make safer and healthier choices.
As our new Head of Education and Impact, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our programs and ensuring measurable outcomes that drive meaningful change. Working closely with the Executive Leadership team, you will oversee three key focus areas: Program Development, Impact Measurement & Evaluation, and Educator Learning & Development.
Your leadership will empower a team of six talented individuals to deliver high-quality educational initiatives, while fostering collaboration and innovation.Key Responsibilities:
- Work with key stakeholders to deliver educational leadership of the Life Ed program that is future focused, evidence based, curriculum aligned to best practice frameworks and principles.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Education and Impact team
- Oversee the development of engaging and effective educational content
- Drive initiatives for professional development and learning within the organisation
- Lead efforts to measure and evaluate the impact of our programs
- Forge strong partnerships with stakeholders including affiliate networks, government agencies, and educational institutions
- Ensure successful delivery of government grants and funding opportunities
- Champion our National Education Strategy and promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Strong preference for SYD based but not essential
- Demonstrated experience in education; Bachelor of Education, primary school curriculum knowledge etc.
- Demonstrated experience in education leadership roles, with a focus on program development and Impact measurement
- Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team to achieve ambitious goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Applied knowledge and experience with curriculum and best practice pedagogy
- Experience working within a federated or matrix organisational structure (desirable)
