Job Overview:
The role of Head of Enterprise Marketing, APA is responsible for SAP ConcurEnterprise Marketing organisation across the APA region across ANZ, India, Korea and SEA. This marketing leader will work closely with the regional Concur and ISBN sales team, be extremely pipeline driven, focused on marketing ROI and improving key marketing metrics as well as achieving the business growth plans within the region. Key responsibilities of this strategic leadership role are to develop and inspire the APA Enterprise Marketing organisation, drive and support brand awareness and demand generation for New Business and Customers, as well as drive customer retention programs, while ensuring that Market Unit (MU)-specific priorities are successfully supported.
The role will be responsible for understanding overall enterprise business goals and working collaboratively with the broader SAP Concur (regional marketing, distribution, Client development, channels etc) team to successfully plan, coordinate, launch and measure marketing programs to meet those goals. The role is a budget owner for the APA Marketing budget and is required to manage and report on spend in line with finance team requirements.
This leadership role also includes responsibility for team development objectives, on-going program development objectives, performance monitoring/measurement and communication, , team development/performance reviews and day-to-day operational marketing activities.
The ideal candidate will proactively manage a wide range of stakeholders, including members of the SAP Concur and APJ ISBN leadership team and must be an excellent communicator, have strong influencing and cross group collaboration skills, be action oriented and experienced in developing concepts, planning and organising.
This position currently has a team composed of 4 Enterprise Marketing leaders responsible for SEA, India, ANZ and Korea and a regional shared services team composed of market profilers in Manila, APA Market Development organisation and a Digital lead.
This person will be a member of the Enterprise International Marketing regional leadership team, reporting into the VP of Enterprise International Marketing for SAP Concur.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Oversees all aspects of field marketing and accountable for pipeline results in APA.
  • Ensures alignment and consistencies between broad corporate strategy, global/regional marketing strategy, local market priorities as well as with the SAP regional marketing teams.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholder groups such as sales, customer success, global marketing and beyond to establish overall marketing strategy for the region. Effectively allocate all resources to maximise ROI.
  • Works with regional marketing team and MU leadership team to determine the key marketing needs based on the business priorities of the local team and formulates plans to support those needs.
  • Owns pipeline for the region and provides the right level of visibility, reporting and benchmarking.
  • Works closely with sales management, identifies key market trends, customer business challenges, new audiences and major market opportunities as foundation to devise well-orchestrated plans.
  • Identifies growth potential for specific markets and develops programs together with local teams to increase pipeline and revenue results.
  • Works with client development team to drive programs that support the customer lifecycle
  • Leads the team to operational excellence ensuring scale, leveragability, best practice definition, continuous learning.
  • Ensures the transition from strategy to deliverables in terms bottom line results - runs marketing like a business.
  • Supports the continuous transformation of marketing, fostering a culture of innovation, open communication and collaboration.
  • Works closely with corporate marketing functions like Campaigns, Digital, Events, PR and Product Marketing and ensure best practice sharing.
  • Provides hands-on marketing leadership coaching
  • May be tasked with additional responsibilities in future depending on business requirements and strategy (e.g. market expansion)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Minimum 10-12 years in Marketing and Demand Generation, BA or equivalent in Marketing & Business.
  • Marketing experience with the full marketing mix at his/her disposal, managing pipeline and a good understanding of the Cloud/SaaS buyer´s journey.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how to set goals and KPIs and measure the impact of programs.
  • Experience creating and leading a high performing regional or multi-regional marketing team.
  • Strong influence abilities, collaboration skills and comfortable working within a matrixed organisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, trust-building and cross- cultural skills to cope with highly diverse cultures ad personalities in the region.
  • Creative thinker with a goal and data driven orientation.
  • Passion for networking and for connecting people, enthusiastic, outgoing.
  • Independent and strategic thinker requiring minimal supervision for decision making and resolution of business performance obstacles and conflicts.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, mastering effective communication with peers and management.
  • Experience creating and implementing proven successful, thought leadership, demand creation, lead nurturing and pipeline acceleration programs.
  • Experience forecasting and managing a marketing budget; building and executing marketing plans; analyzing and reporting on closed-loop, marketing program performance (spend efficiency), running annual planning and managing change.

LOCATION & TRAVEL:
This position is ideally based in Sydney, Australia. Some travel may be required for this role - mainly within the APA region.
