Greensill Farming, a pioneering family agribusiness rooted in the Bundaberg region for over 75 years, which stands at the forefront of innovation in sustainable farming practices is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Head of Facilities, Workshop & Irrigation. Our core business encompasses sugarcane and sweet potato production, a compost facility and farm development and earthmoving capabilities. As the Head of Facilities & Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our irrigation equipment and fixed infrastructure, and managing our workshop facilities. Reporting directly to the General Manager - Greensill Fabrication and Machinery, you will lead a team responsible for servicing and maintaining all plant, equipment, and infrastructure across our operations. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating day-to-day maintenance and breakdown response activities, collaborating with departmental managers to optimise equipment availability, and improving our preventative maintenance programs.
In this role, you will
- Collaborate with management to coordinate maintenance personnel, contractors, and service providers.
- Ensure operational departments have optimal equipment availability and functionality through close collaboration with managers.
- Develop and refine preventative and scheduled maintenance programs for all plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Manage critical spare part inventory to meet operational objectives.
- Assist in formulating capital expenditure and equipment replacement programs.
- Lead the team in adhering to Greensill Farming's safety procedures and processes.
