About the position
The position is responsible for leading the team that manages the School's buildings, grounds, facilities, maintenance and Work, Health and Safety (WHS) requirements. In this role, you will develop, implement and manage the School's Preventative Maintenance Schedules, Safety Management Plan, Security Plan and Cleaning Rosters. You will manage capital works projects, new buildings, and refurbishment projects as well as conducting inspections of all designated workspaces. You will maintain the School's vehicle fleet; and develop specialist and current knowledge of significant issues and trends in building maintenance, WHS and risk management.
Selection Criteria:
- Current Driver's Licence (Class LR or higher)
- WorkCover Authority NSW endorsed Construction Induction card.
- Vast experience in managing building, property and maintenance programs and operations in a complex work environment.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Expert knowledge of the principles of risk management and the application of WHS legislation in the workplace.
- Experience in developing project proposals, plans and reports with a strong eye for detail and accuracy.
