Description
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the key remit of this position will be to lead and develop a high-performance finance function, including the financial accounting, treasury, compliance, reporting, transactional finance, and commercial functions.
Other key responsibilities will include the following:
- Provide leadership and coordination in external financial reporting, management reporting and commercial business partnering activities.
- Ownership of the audit and finalisation of accounts. Oversight of the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting including tax audits. You will lead the design and implementation of policies & processes for robust accounting and financial controls.
- You will lead M&A activities including strategy/target development, due diligence, pricing and valuation, deal structuring including debt financing, and post-acquisition integration.
- Lead and manage the budgeting and forecasting process. Designing a robust Management Information System (MIS) and providing timely and appropriate information to aid in decision making.
- Act as a key business partner to the senior leadership team and operational leads in driving performance across the organisation nationally,
- Be a leader in the development of continuous improvement across transnational finance, financial reporting processes, operational analysis and forecasts.
- ERP and other Business Systems implementation and system improvement projects.
Profile
The successful applicant will have the following:
- Be or CA or CPA qualified with extensive experience of working in a similar senior finance position in a large complex organisation.
- You will be passionate about people leadership and have a strong track record of developing high performance teams.
- Exceptional business partnering mindset, with demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across multiple stakeholders in the business.
- Previous experience leading M&A activities including strategy/target development, due diligence, pricing and valuation, deal structuring including debt financing, and post-acquisition integration.
- You will be an ambitious and motivated leader with a passion for business partnering and technical accounting, as well as driving process improvement initiatives including ERP and Business Systems implementation and system improvement projects.
