About the role
Based in our Sydney Head office and reporting to the General Manager - Commercial Finance, GrainCorp is seeking a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. Managing a team your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis function, delivering insightful performance reports, analyses and strategic insights to senior stakeholders
- Ensuring key business performance risks, issues, and opportunities are highlighted to management
- Lead the annual Financial Planning process in addition to having stewardship for maintaining multi-year financial plans and 'through the cycle' earnings guidance to the ELT, Board and external stakeholders
- Leading company-wide capital expenditure planning, prioritisation, and long-term capital allocation processes to deliver a disciplined approach to capital management
- Drive advancements in Financial Planning and performance reporting capabilities and explore digital technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A processes to foster insight-driven and impactful analysis
- Provide strategic leadership in corporate finance, supporting major strategic projects, both organic and inorganic. Deliver financial analysis, insights, and modeling in support that contribute to the success of these initiatives
About your experience
Our successful candidate will be an experienced professional with proven business acumen and an understanding of how to work as a strategic finance business partner. The role will require someone with excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills with the confidence to interact and present to key decision makers. Key skills were are looking for include:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, including strong written communication and presentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Proven financial reporting, commercial finance or business partnering experience
- Exposure to corporate finance, valuations, financial modelling and M&A processes and activities
- Ability to manage the consolidation and analysis of data within a complex multi-system environment
- Prior experience with system implementation projects will be beneficial
