The Role
Reporting into the Head of FP&A, this role will see you supporting the News & Current Affairs teams and doing the following:
- Business partner including preparing and reviewing annual budgets and forecasts and drive key management reporting obligations including monthly variance analysis
- Undertake regular financial analysis to provide decision support and strategic insight
- Develop a strong understanding of the business to drive business performance and strategic direction
- Manage a team of 2 Business Partners with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, timeliness and client service focused to drive quality standards.
- Effectively explain and influence management across SBS to understand and comply with budget and financial requirements
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality management reports including to the Executive Management and the SBS Board
- Provide ad hoc assistance as required by the Head of FP&A to ensure processes, related deliverables and projects are completed in a timely manner
About you
- CA or CPA
- Proven substantial relevant management accounting and FP&A experience
- Demonstrated history of unlocking the potential of staff and facilitating their engagement
- An inclusive and effective leadership (coaching) style
- Strong communication skills - written and oral – and comfort in dealing with representatives from all levels of an organisation including Director level
- Advanced excel proficiency
- Experience in the media industry or a large corporation highly desirable
- Experience with systems such as TM1 and Oracle highly advantageous
