Based within our Student Success and Wellbeing team, this highly valued role will develop and implement strategies that specifically target key transition points across of our First Nations students, and positively impact participation and completion rates for our First Nations students.
Some of the responsibilities of this role will also include:
- Managing the Indigenous Outreach & Cultural Support Officer and Indigenous Student Success & Wellbeing Officer and coordinating their activities
- Identifying and creating pathways and initiatives that ensure access, participation, and success for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
- Working collaboratively with the General Manager Learning Services on the development of policies and initiatives which will support our First Nations cohort
- Devising and implementing engagement and capacity building strategies which will enrich our First Nations students’ experience by liaising with our Bond University Elder and Manager First Nations Cultural Education
This is an Identified position. The appointee will be an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander person and will ideally possess the following:
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience and proven management expertise
- The ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships across the University and with our external partners, develop partnerships with diverse groups and individuals, and actively lead others to work collaboratively and constructively.
- The ability to engage effectively and persuasively with senior colleagues through a well-developed ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence effectively with a wide range of University and community stakeholders.
- Demonstrated drive and integrity through a strong commitment to action and taking responsibility for modelling the professional behaviours important to the University
- A current Blue Card
The salary for the position commences at $104,310.10 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
