Opportunity:
As this business embarks on a trajectory of growth, the Head of Finance will lead a small team - delivering accurate reporting and strategic guidance to key stakeholders, including the CEO, GM and the Board. This role demands a strategic thinker who can conduct comprehensive analyses and provide valuable insights to support informed decision-making. You will be tasked with managing and refining financial control systems, optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring organisational compliance, and actively contributing to strategic planning to drive the organisation forward.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy -
- Support the CEO and GM in business planning
- Prepare the budget and cash flow forecasts with support from the GM
- Undertake analysis across all business areas to provide timely and actionable insights
- Apply risk management fundamentals and mitigation to protect the business
- Analyse monthly financial and management accounts
- Develop key reporting dashboards
- Collaborate with external advisors to provide guidance on legal structures and compliance matters to mitigate risks and maximise opportunities.
- Evaluate financing options and optimise capital structure to achieve financial objectives.
Financial Management -
- Implement controls to ensure the integrity of financial systems, data, privacy and automation of processes.
- Set internal policies and procedures for all financial matters
- Ensure that staff are well versed in financial processes.
- Provide guidance and assistance with employee related matters and internal compliance/legal needs.
- Provide input into internal facilities and information technology requirements.
- Work with complex payment mechanisms and payment sources to develop and implement a scalable system.
Experience:
- Strong analytical skills
- Maturity, self-confidence and strong commercial acumen
- Ability to see the big picture and understand key business/profit drivers
- Proficient with XERO (or similar systems) and Excel
- Motivated and takes initiative with a high attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience in a multi-site Hospitality business environment and/or e-commerce/FMCG and/or NFP sector will be highly regarded
Qualifications:
- Tertiary Qualifications (Bachelor Degree) in Business or Commerce
- CA/CPA Qualifications
