Hunter Executive Search Consultants are pleased to partner with IntoWork Australia in the appointment of their Head of IT Security and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

About the Role:

As the Head of IT Security and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will play a critical role in safeguarding the digital assets, data, and infrastructure of IntoWork Australia. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing a comprehensive information security strategy to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities while supporting the business's growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the Group's information security strategy, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead the Right Fit For Risk (RFFR) Program and drive success to maintain accreditation.
  • Manage a team of cybersecurity professionals and implement effective security measures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security threats.
  • Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and technologies to enhance the organisation's security posture.
  • Collaborate with various departments to align security initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of security controls and incident response plans.
  • Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Manage cyber supply chain risk activities and ensure compliance.
  • Provide regular security updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Lead cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
  • Promote a culture of security awareness and accountability across the organisation.

About You:

  • Experience maintaining ISO 27001 accreditation and familiarity with the Australian Government's PSPF and ISM.
  • Previous experience with government contracts and RFFR.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at both business and technical levels.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
  • Proven experience (8-10 years) in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and make informed decisions.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

It is preferable for this role to be based in Melbourne or Brisbane however as a National, dynamic business this role can also be based in Sydney, Adelaide or Perth.
